Oxybutynin MR (Lyrinel XL)

Lyrinel XL has been discontinued which means there is no modified release preparation of oxybutynin available in the UK. This means all patients will need to be switched to an alternative.

These include:

• Solifenacin liquid or tablets. Has a long half life and may have fewer CNS side effects.
• Tolterodine MR capsules (e.g. Mariosea XL or Detrusitol XL).
• Oxybutynin standard release tablets (although many will be on the modified release after failing standard release).
