Guidelines for the children's renal unit at Nottingham Children's Hospital are available for general use. They can be accessed directly by clicking on the individual guideline title.

NICE now recommend long-term follow-up for all children who have had acute kidney injury.

Many of these children will be treated in PICUs throughout EMEESY; some may have received renal replacement therapy whilst some will have been managed conservatively in local units through telephone advice but it is important that all are offered follow-up.

Pateints who have received renal replacement therapy should be transferred to the Nephrology team at Nottinhgam using the below doucment to guide inclusion and exclusion citeria.
For those patients who have had an AKI but have not received renal replacemnet therapy, they should be followed up by the local team at the patient's local hospital
