Children's kidney clinics take place regularly and are a combination of clinics run by paediatricians in Addenbrookes, shared-care clinics with paediatric nephrologists from Nottingham and joint clinics that involve other specialist from Addenbrookes.  . 

Dr Birgit Ulbrich, Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics at Addenbrookes has an interest in kidney disorders and run specialist kidney clinics three times per month.

Dr Martin Christian or Dr JJ Kim, Consultant Paediatric Nephrologists from Nottingham attends every month for a shared care clinic with Dr Ulbrich.  

There is also a paediatric dietian who attends when there are dietetic issues with patients.

Dr Christian's clinics 

Dr Christian attends on odd numbered months (January, March, May, July, September and November).

Morning clinics are nephrology only.

Afternoon clinics in January and July are renal-oncology clinics for children who have long-term kidney effects as a result of cancer treatment.  This clinic is also attended by Dr Anny Wong, Associate Specialist in Paediatric Oncology. 

Afternoon clinics in March and September are transition clinics.  You can read more about transition at Addenbrookes here

Afternoon clinics in November are for children who have tuberous sclerosis with kidney complications.  This clinic is attended by Dr Pooja Harijan, Consultant Paediatric Neurologist.

Dr Kim attends on even number months (February, April, June, August, October and December). 

Morning clinics are nephrology only.

The afternoon clinics are nephrourology clinisc, attended also by Mr Neil Featherstone and Miss Bisharat, Consultant Paediatric Urologists.
