Whilst managing a chronic health condition can feel like the top priority at all times, it is important to look after ourselves too.

Just as the advice on aeroplanes is to “put on your own oxygen mask first”, so that you are as well as possible for the demands placed upon you. This can mean making the space to do things that give you a sense of vitality or being alive, keeping active, or engaging in other practices that help you to feel mentally well.

It can also be acknowledging that to live a rich, full and meaningful life, we will be affected by emotions from across the full spectrum.
