We are not limiting visiting anymore and have recently removed restrictions that were in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. One parent is permitted to be resident overnight and during the daytime it is open visiting for parents and siblings, between 8am-8pm.

We kindly ask that there are not an excessive number of people at the bed space to ensure patient safety is maintained. We maintain the right to politely ask some of your visitors to leave if it becomes a patient safety hazard. Visitors are encouraged during the day for your child’s wellbeing. We ask that all visitors under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult at all times.

If your child is well enough, it may be possible for them to go off the ward and see visitors in a communal space such as the café, if they would prefer. Please discuss this with the nurse looking after them.

Whilst restrictions have been removed and we no longer require lateral flow testing etc, we kindly ask that you do not visit the ward if you are unwell as many of our patients are immunocompromised and could become very unwell if they get an infection. This includes cough, cold and flu symptoms and also sickness/diarrhoea. Please wait 48 hours from last symptoms before attending the ward. Thank you.
