Transplantation

When your child's GFR falls close to 20, we wil usually arrange a CKD day, when you attend Nottingham Children's Hospital to meet key members of the team who will look after your child throughout the work-up for transplantation and afterwards. 

Often we will also arrange a home visit around this time as well, which gives more relaxed opportunity to discuss important issues surrounding your child's care. 

As part of the CKD day or home visit, we will discuss the different options for transplantation.
