Martin thumbnailI am delighted to be able to welcome you to the new EMEESY website.

Martin thumbnailI hope you are finding our new website helpful.  Since it was launched in March, we have added some resources to the pharmacy page, some information on transition for young people, including a link to the Ready, Steady, Go leaflets to guide young people through the process of transitioning to adult services.

We've also added an article about the Transplant Games.  After many years of only a few faithful team members, this year Nottingham Children's Hospital will be fielding possibly its biggest team ever with over 10 athletes taking part in running, jumping, throwing, swimming and racket sports.  We're very proud of all our young competitors and look forward to hearing about their successes later in the summer.

The transition workshop which was planned shortly has had to be cancelled because of lack of support.  It is being rescheduled for the autumn.  The information about it should appear on the transition page.

We have now set a date for the next Transplant Information Day on Saturday 11th October.  If your child has CKD stage 3, 4 or 5 then you should receive an invitation to it at the end of the summer.  If you would like to come but haven't received an invitation, please contact Judith Hayes on 0115 970 9420 or by This email address is being protected from spambots. For professionals, more details of the EMEESY network education day on Friday 10th October and a booking form should appear on the network education page by the end of this month.  We return to Stoke Rochford Hall again after positive feedback from last year. Rates are again subsidised by pharmaceutical and nutrition company sponsorship, including an option to have dinner, bed and breakfast the night before.
